Meet The Team
Mazon Australia, a Jewish Response to Hunger, was founded with a core belief: In a world of plenty, hunger and malnutrition should not exist. Mazon Australia is a non-profit organisation which allocates donations to prevent and alleviate hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds.
We are a volunteer led organisation. Meet our leadership team.
Volunteer Chair, Director
I have been an active volunteer for most of my life. In recent years, I have become a "food whisperer", having established the nourish progarm at Temple Beth Israel and taking on the chairmanship of Mazon Australia. During the recent lockdowns I have delivered food parcels for Souper Kitchen and served takeaway meals at Sacred Heart Mission. I also made many loaves of banana bread for the Project Dignity Crisis Relief program. Scrabble is my other passion, with many lockdown hours spent playing it online.
